On October 4th, the General Assembly 2023 of the Barcelona Music Tech Hub took place at the Pier 07 Auditorium from Tech Barcelona. It was a remarkable turnout, with over a third of the association’s total membership in attendance.
The technical secretariat and board members presented a detailed report showcasing the advancements and achievements made during the first year of activity as an association. Even with a few months left for this year to finish, the Hub boasts nearly 60 members – individuals, emerging startups and established companies – from various verticals in the music tech sector, representing approximately 580 professionals with a combined revenue exceeding 50 million euros. This impressive growth within just the first year underscores the Hub’s potential.
The gathering also provided an opportunity to outline the Hub’s vision for 2024, something that stood out was the aim to achieve cluster certification. Further insights were shared about the European project, MTEA, and a sneak peek into strategic collaborations and events lined up in the coming months.
At the Barcelona Music Tech Hub, we believe that with the proactive engagement of our members and through ongoing and futures partnerships, we’re set to reach new heights, amplifying the growth and significance of the Music Tech community.
